Field and Sky Shawl
Designed by Christine Jablonski
The Field and Sky Shawl incorporates Clasped Weft blocks to create a patchwork effect across a Herringbone Twill ground, reminiscent of large midwestern fields as seen from an airplane. A slight variation to the traditional Clasped Weft technique allows for a single pick thickness in each pattern shed, and maintains even selvedges when shifting from two-color sections to single-color weaving. This pattern is designed as a recipe, intended for weavers to play with the placement and frequency of their color shifts. Order a kit.
